History does not have to be boring. History can be interesting and entertaining if it is told correctly. History is filled with fascinating people and engrossing stories. If it is told correctly, the listener can understand how things happened and why. Names and dates are the most boring parts of the story. What matters is the action; what happened, and why.

I have a degree in history. Although I never really used it. I was a lawyer for 5 years. In that 5 year time span, I was completely, utterly, and absolutely abjectly miserable for 4 years, 11 months, and 27 days. The first day was ok. The last day was fine. And there were another two good days somewhere in there. After the fourth good day in 5 years, I decided this is not what I wanted out of life. So I quit. I walked away and I have never regretted it.
